Brown County was named after my Husband's family. I am collecting information and doing research for his Father as a Father's Day gift for 2003. Any information that could help would be greatly appreciated. I am aware that one of his family members was captured and raised by Indians and then later escaped and returned to his family.He is obviously related to Gen. Jacob Jennings Brown, which I have discovered, the County was named after.
